GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – The Indiana Tech softball team was picked to finish second in the 2026 Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) Coaches Preseason Poll, the conference announced Wednesday morning.
Indiana Tech received 105 points in this year's preseason poll after finishing in fourth place last season with a 16-8 conference record. The Warriors would make it to the WHAC Tournament semifinal and finish the season with a 30-16 overall record. Tech comes in five points ahead of UNOH and 16 points behind projected top seeding and defending WHAC champion Madonna University, who received all 11 first place votes, in this year's preseason poll. The Warriors are also receiving votes in the NAIA Preseason Poll, while Madonna is ranked 14
th.
The WHAC Preseason Poll is voted on by the league's head coaches. Points are tabulated by assigning 11 points to the team a coach ranks first, 10 points to a team a coach ranks second, and so on. The number of first-place votes indicates the number of coaches who ranked that team as the No. 1 team in the WHAC.
