Rankings Roundup!

FORT WAYNE, Ind. – The Warriors continue to make their mark across multiple sports as rankings shift and momentum builds deeper into the season. With several teams climbing, joining the polls, receiving votes, and putting together strong performances, Indiana Tech remains competitive across the board. The Warriors currently have seven active programs ranked in the latest polls or receiving votes.

Baseball comes in at No. 22 this week, moving down slightly from No. 19, but continues to show resilience at the plate. The Warriors split a doubleheader with (RV) Madonna on Saturday, dominating game one with a 12–0 shutout before falling 6–3 in game two. They responded in a big way on Sunday, sweeping the doubleheader with a 7–6 win followed by an offensive explosion in a 20–16 victory to secure the series. As the season progresses, the Warriors will look to build more consistency on the mound while continuing to rely on their powerful offensive production.

Men's lacrosse sits at No. 7 in the national rankings, moving up from No. 10 in the previous poll. The Warriors played a strong game resulting in a 15–10 win over Lawrence Tech. After a back-and-forth first half, Tech pulled away in the fourth quarter behind a dominant run. Jake Deacon led the offense with six points, while Cam Fewster added five. In goal, Sam Park recorded 12 saves, and the defense, led by Luke Prohaska and Zach Spisz, made key stops throughout the game. Moving forward, the team will look to sharpen its late-game execution and continue closing out tight contests against top-ranked opponents.

Women's lacrosse also holds the No. 7 spot, moving up one, and continues to surge, recently taking down No. 5 Life University and extending their winning streak to seven games. Freshman Lilliana Rivera earned WHAC Defensive Player of the Week honors after an all-around dominant performance, totaling 15 draw controls, seven ground balls, five caused turnovers, and four points. The Warriors dominated their competition last week, outscoring opponents 37–7. With strong momentum on their side, the team will look to maintain its defensive intensity while continuing to build chemistry on the offensive end.

On the track, both men's and women's outdoor programs come in nationally ranked, with the men at No. 7 and the women at No. 16. New to this week's roundup, after the release of the first outdoor rankings of the season, both teams are already showing strong potential for the rest of the spring season. They continue to build on their successful indoor campaigns as they transition into outdoor competition, focusing on improving times and marks while preparing to peak at the right moment for championship meets. In the Warriors most recent meet, the Indiana Tech Easter Invite, Stephen Sydnor punched his ticket to nationals after hitting a huge PR and NAIA A standard jump of 7.57m in the long jump, winning the event and moving into second all-time on Indiana Tech's top ten list, while Emerson Harper hit a NAIA B standard on her way to winning the long jump with a mark of 5.81m

Men's volleyball is receiving votes once again, currently riding a six-game winning streak. The Warriors have picked up key wins over Defiance, No. 13 Lawrence Tech, Rochester Christian, Cornerstone, Aquinas, and Mount Vernon Nazarene. Nolan Bosley was named NAIA Setter of the Week following a standout performance against No. 13 Lawrence Tech, while Dylan Poore also earned Attacker of the Week honors as the duo continues to lead the team's success. The team will aim to build on its rhythm and consistency as they push toward a strong postseason position.

Softball is also back to receiving votes after a strong stretch of play. Carlye Walter was named WHAC Player of the Week following a dominant performance at the plate, reaching base 16 times in 20 appearances. She recorded 10 hits, six walks, and 19 total bases while hitting .714. Walter also contributed in the circle, throwing six innings, allowing just one run, and earning a save against Cornerstone. The Warriors will look to continue developing balance between their offense and pitching as they gain momentum throughout the season.

With teams continuing to climb rankings, earn weekly honors, and put together impressive performances, the Warriors are building momentum across all programs as the spring season progresses.
