Snyder and Matlack Named WHAC Players of the Week to Start 2026-27 Campaign

FORT WAYNE, Ind. – Lauren Snyder and Kristin Matlack were named Wolverine Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) Players of the Week, the conference announced Monday.

It is the start of a new school year, but the Warriors picked up right where they left off last season after claiming their fair share of Player of the Week awards in 2025-26. To open 2026-27, Tech grabbed two of the three awards in the first week of the season. Lauren Snyder was named the women's volleyball attacker of the week after recording 33 kills, averaging 3.30 per set, and hitting .373 over the three-game tournament in Hawaii, including 17 kills in a 3-0 Warrior upset win against #12 ranked Oklahoma Wesleyan. She was named to the Paradise Classic All-Tournament Team and also had 7 digs and 2 blocks. Kristin Matlack led the Warriors with 102 assists, averaging 10.2 per set, earning her women's volleyball setter of the week honors. She helped the Warriors go 2-1 at the Paradise Classic, while also recording 21 digs, 6 aces, 3 blocks, and 1 kill.

Tech volleyball will be back in action with four games this weekend at the Onset Invitational in Fort Wayne, Indiana.
