Box Score FORT WAYNE, Ind. - The Indiana Tech American Collegiate Hockey Association (ACHA) Division 3 Ice Hockey team got a late third-period goal and played Aquinas College even in the third period, but surrendered a pair of goals in each of the first two periods and fell 5-1 Saturday night at the SportOne Parkview Ice Arena.

Russell Smascz finished the night with a 92 percent save percentage after facing 60 Aquinas College shots. Of the five goals allowed two were on the power play with one on a 5-on-3 advantage.
Ryan Matteson continued to be a force for Tech by notching the team's lone goal and extending his goal-scoring streak to four games. Matteson has collected the team's last three goals over the last three contests.
With the loss the team moves to an overall record of .500 at 5-5.
The Orange and Black will face its first tournament action Wednesday, Oct 16, when the team travels to Midland, Mich. Tech will also play Thursday, Oct. 17 and Friday, Oct. 18 in the Schupan Tournament.
