Box Score UNIVERSITY CENTER, Mich. - The Indiana Tech American Collegiate Hockey Association (ACHA) Division 3 Ice Hockey team suffered its first losing streak of the season after eight games Saturday night. The Warriors dropped an 8-2 game at two-time ACHA D3 champion Saginaw Valley State University, but got strong performances from two players.
Nick Janiszewski and
Ryan Matteson scored in both weekend contests and were the team's most consistent performers. In Saturday's game, they both notched second-period goals at even-strength. Janiszewski's goal was assisted by
Ryan Theisen and
Connor Barney, while Matteson cashed in with helpers from
Michael Schmitt and
Nick Denice.
Tech goaltenders
Braden Susnik and
Russell Smascz split time in net facing 39 shots.
With the loss the Orange and Black moves to an overall record of 5-3 and prepare next to travel at Aquinas College on Friday, October 10 with a scheduled 8:30 p.m. puck drop.
