BOX SCORE | ADRIAN, Mich. – Tyler Grunden netted a short-handed goal for the undermanned ACHA Division III Indiana Tech ice hockey team in a 14-1 loss to three-time national champion, Adrian College – Gold.
The Warriors found themselves down early as the Bulldogs scored the first five goals of the game, but Grunden was able to find the net at 11:06 in the second period. Unfortunately that's all the offense could muster as Adrian netted nine more goals in the loss.
Tech finished the contest with six penalty minutes to just two for the home team while putting 18 shots on target. The Warriors goaltenders faced a combined 62 shots, making 48 saves.
The Warriors return to the ice on Friday, Feb. 6 in Allendale, Mich. as they take on Grand Valley State with faceoff scheduled for 9:30 p.m.
