Courtney Lakes and Jessica Zurcher also tallied for the Orange and Black.

Head Coach Jim Lipocky: Now in his eight season as the head coach of the Warriors, Jim Lipocky has won 65 games, the most in school history. He also holds the second-best winning percentage all-time at Tech. During the 2012 campaign, he led the Warriors to their most successful season since 2002, compiling a 16-4-1 record, the second most victories in school history. During his tenure with the Orange and Black, Lipocky has coached 37 WHAC All-Academic members, 27 NAIA Scholar-Athletes and 21 WHAC All-Conference honorees. In 2011 he was named the WHAC's Champion of Character Coach.

Scouting the Opposition: Goshen – The Maple Leafs come to the Summit City on a two-match losing streak, most recently losing to WHAC member Cornerstone, 1-0, on Saturday night. Melanie Drinkwater and Anneliese Baer form a formidable one-two punch for Goshen, combining for nine goals on the season. Baer leads the team in assists with three. Natalie Thorne has started all eight games in goal for the Maple Leafs, but Molly Zook has also seen time in five games.

Aquinas – The Saints are coming off a 2-1 win over Bethel College on Saturday and welcome the Warriors in as their Homecoming opponent. Mariah Otolski leads the team in goals (three), while Lindsay Armstrong has only given up seven goals through five games.

Series Notes: Goshen – The Warriors have won four straight against the Maple Leafs since 2010. In their last matchup a season ago, Tech won 3-0 on the road.

Aquinas – The Warriors are 2-3 since 2011 against the Saints and have lost two straight, most recently a 2-1 decision last fall. This is the third straight year Tech has opened WHAC play against Aquinas.

Picking up the Hardware: Senior midfielder Megan Perrey was named the WHAC Offensive Player of the Week for the week of Sept. 14-20, as she recorded three goals over the week. She provided both the Warriors goals in the 2-0 victory over Huntington and her score in the 87th minute against #RV Ashford sent the game into overtime. She leads the team with four goals on the year.

Standing Tall: Senior goalkeeper Alena Payne has taken ownership of the Warriors net, starting five of the six matches and logging over 560 minutes of game action. Payne's 43 saves rank second in the WHAC and she is tied for 29st nationally, while her 7.17 saves per game is also second in the league and 33rd in the country.
