FORT WAYNE, Ind. – The Indiana Tech ACHA Division 3 men's ice hockey team fell to Michigan in a hard-fought, penalty-filled 2-1 loss on Friday evening at the SportONE/Parkview Icehouse.
The Warriors fired off 27 shots on goal, but only one would find its way past Wolverines netminder Evan Chang. After a scoreless first period,
Jordan Reese made it 1-0 Tech 4:23 into the second.
Michael Cruse picked up the assist.
The visitors would respond five minutes later with a goal from John Grover and take the lead 2:04 into the third period after Erik Anton beat
Chris Boyd.
Boyd finished the game with 27 saves.
The Warriors power play couldn't take advantage of 26 Wolverine penalty minutes, while they allowed one power play goal
