FORT WAYNE, Ind. – The Indiana Tech ACHA Division 3 men's ice hockey team used a four-goal second period and a hat trick from
Eric Stewart to erase a 2-1 Eastern Illinois lead as they defeated the Panthers, 6-3.
Tech fell behind 2-1 in the first period, but would explode for four goals into the second.
Eric Stewart got the party going just seven seconds into the period with a goal before following that up with goals at 10:28 and 17:28, respectively, for his first career hat trick.
Tyler Grunden scored the game-winner at 5:21 into the second while
Christian Sandberg added an insurance goal in the third.

Nick Janiszewski,
Alex Wert, and Stewart all tallied assists.
Chris Boyd made 15 saves for his seventh win of the season.
Tech (9-9-1-0) concludes its weekend set with the Panthers on Sunday with a 12 p.m. puck drop from the SportONE/Parkview Icehouse.
