FORT WAYNE, Ind. – The Indiana Tech ACHA Division 3 men's ice hockey team fell to Michigan Collegiate Hockey Conference (MCHC) rival Lawrence Tech – Blue, 6-3, on Friday evening at the SportONE/Parkview Icehouse.
The Warriors would just out ahead of the Blue Devils just 71 seconds into the game with a goal from
Chad Cobb, but the second period would feature five goals, three from the visitors and two from the Orange and Black, and the teams headed into the final period knotted up at 3-3.
LTU would take advantage of a pair of Warrior penalties and capitalized with a two power play goals and then a third goal in the period just under six minutes into the period to chase starting goal
Chris Boyd and came away with the 6-3 win.
Cobb finished the night with two goals while
Hudson Sabin notched Tech's third goal.
Ryan Krolikowski,
Brandon Gallo and
Jordan Reese all recorded an assist while Boyd finished the night with 29 saves.
Tech (2-7-0, 2-7-0 MCHC) returns to action on Saturday when they host LTU-White at 7:10 p.m. from the SportONE/Parkview Icehouse.
