FORT WAYNE, Ind. – The Indiana Tech ACHA Division 3 men's ice hockey team picked up the weekend sweep over Ball State with a 3-2 win on Saturday afternoon at the SportONE/Parkview Icehouse.
Jordan Reese put the Warriors on the board first at 12:53 in the first only to see the Cardinals tie it up just two minutes later. Tech would respond quickly though, with goals from
Ryan Krolikowski and
Cameron Pfeiffer at 16:38 and 18:34, respectively, to give the hosts a 3-1 lead after the first period.
The next goal wouldn't come until the 19:25 mark of the third when Ball State cut the deficit to one, but were unable to get the game-tying goal in the last 35 seconds of the game as the Warriors stood tall for their second sweep of the season.
Tech (5-9-0) returns to action on Friday when they host Davenport at 8:30 p.m. from the SportONE/Parkview Icehouse on Rink Two.
