GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – The ACHA North Region No. 15-ranked Indiana Tech ACHA Division 3 men's ice hockey team fell to No 1-ranked and Michigan Collegiate Hockey Conference (MCHC) foe Calvin, 7-0, on Saturday evening at the Eagles Ice Center.
Thomas Bell would put the Knights up with two goals in the first period while the hosts added another three goals in the second to go up 5-0 with 20 minutes remaining. Bell would then add his third goal of the night in the third to cap the shutout.
Chris Boyd made 42 saves in net for the Warriors.
Tech (7-11-0, 4-11-0 MCHC) takes a few weeks off for Christmas break before returning to action on January 6 as they host crosstown rival IPFW. Puck drop is set for 8:30 p.m. from the SportONE/Parkview Icehouse.
