UPLAND, Ind. --
Christopher Putman and
Skotti Ball-Duley took the lead for Indiana Tech on Friday afternoon at Taylor University's Ray Bullock Invitational. Putman finished 58th to pace a young Warrior squad while Ball-Duley was 57th in her first team-leading performance.
Racing for the first time in nearly a month, Putman crossed the line in 28:14.9. He was followed by a trio of freshman:
Javin Mericle (28:37.1),
Liamm Passey (28:50.7), and
Waval Davis (29:07.2).
The Warriors finished 11th as a team in the men's race.
On the women's side,
Skotti Ball-Duley finished first for Tech in 25:13.6.
Sarah Koker was seven spots behind in 25:34.9 while
Alina LaForest made her Warrior debut in 32:32.0.
The Warriors will train through next weekend in anticipation of the NAIA Great Lakes Challenge on October 26th in Grand Rapids.
