Women’s Cross Country Receiving Votes in NAIA Preseason Poll

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The Indiana Tech women's cross country team will head into the 2025 season receiving votes in the national poll as the NAIA released the 2025 Top 25 Preseason Poll on Thursday.

The Warriors received eight points in this year's preseason poll after sending two runners to the national tournament last season. Tech would fall in just behind Saint Mary (Neb.) and ahead of Dakota State (S.D.) (eleven and seven points respectively). Tech is one of three WHAC teams to receive points in the preseason poll as Cornerstone (Mich.) and Aquinas (Mich.) sit at #15 and #17. Taylor (Ind.) sits at No. 1 in the preseason poll after finishing second as a team at last season's national championships with 507 points. Milligan (Tenn.) was picked at #2, while last year's national champion, The Master's (Calif.), comes in at #3.

The NAIA Preseason Poll is voted on by a panel of head coaches representing each conference. Points are tabulated by assigning 30 points to the team a coach ranks first, 29 points to a team a coach ranks second, and so on. The number of first-place votes indicates the number of coaches who ranked that team as the No. 1 team in the NAIA.
