Bravo Named NAIA Pitcher of the Week

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Indiana Tech's Savannah Bravo was named the NAIA Softball Pitcher of the Week on Tuesday, the national office announced.

Bravo was named the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) Softball Pitcher of the Week on Monday and now earns national recognition, making her the fifth Warrior to claim national honors, joining women's wrestlers Bo Geibe and Rose Kaplan, men's track athlete Damien Keys, and men's basketball player Jaxson Fugate.

The senior from Arroyo Grande, California started the week with an 11-strikeout no-hitter against Grace College (which was a defensive error away from a perfect game)! Over four appearances in the week, Bravo had three starts, three complete games, and three wins. Bravo dominated in the circle for the Warriors, throwing 33 strikeouts with an ERA of 1.17 and a WHIP of 0.75 over 24 innings pitched. She allowed just 14 hits and four earned runs.

Tech softball is back in action this week with three more doubleheaders during the spring break trip to Arizona where they are participating in the Tucson Invitational Games. The Warriors will play Dickinson State University (N.D.) and Carrol College (Mont.) on Wednesday, March 11th, Mayville State University (N.D.) and Valley City State University (N.D.) on Thursday, March 12th, and Westcliff University (Calif.) and #19 Midland University (Neb.) on Friday, March 13th.
