FORT WAYNE, Ind. – The Indiana Tech women's soccer team returns to the pitch on Wednesday when they welcome nearby Huntington University to Warrior Athletic Field for a nonconference battle.

Last Time Out: The Warriors fell to Taylor University in double overtime, 2-1, on Friday night. Tech was the beneficiary of an own goal from the Trojans in the 49
th minute, but the hosts were able to tie it just six minutes later. Nikki Zaino would send the Trojans home happy as she blasted the game-winner past
Alena Payne in the 104th minute. Payne made a career-high seven saves in the loss.
Head Coach Jim Lipocky: Now in his eight season as the head coach of the Warriors,
Jim Lipocky has won 55 games, the second most in school history. He also holds the second-best winning percentage all-time at Tech. In 2012 he led the Warriors to their most successful season since 2002, compiling a 16-4-1 record, the second most victories in school history. During his tenure with the Orange and Black, Lipocky has coached 37 WHAC All-Academic members, 27 NAIA Scholar-Athletes and 21 WHAC All-Conference honorees. In 2011 he was named the WHAC's Champion of Character Coach.
Scouting the Opposition: The Foresters come into Wednesday's match 4-2-0, most recently losing to WHAC member Cornerstone on Saturday. The loss snapped Huntington's three-game winning streak. Olivia Knispel leads the team in goals (5), while younger sister MaTea has a team-high 21 shots on goal, good for 11
th in the country.
Series Notes: The Warriors are 3-1 since 2006 against the Foresters and are on a three-game winning streak against their neighbors to the south. Last year in Huntington, Tech came away with a 3-2 overtime win thanks to
Nicole Price's game-winner in the 96
th minute.
Standing Tall: Senior goalkeeper
Alena Payne has taken ownership of the Warriors net, starting four of the five matches and playing in over 372 minutes. Payne's 25 saves rank fourth in the WHAC and she is tied for 66
st nationally, while her 6.25 saves per game is second in the league and tied for 51
st in the country. Her 1.21 goals against average (GAA) ranks sixth in the conference and 61
st in the country.
A Look at the Stats Rankings: Tech has only given up five goals in fives game this season, tied for fourth best in the WHAC, while their two shutouts ranks them in a tie for fifth in the conference and in a tie for 35
th in the country.
Alternating Results: The Warriors have flip-flopped their record after every match this season, going loss-win-loss-win-loss. Tech had a six-game stretch last year where they alternated wins and losses.
