Last Time Out: The Warriors defeated Huntington University, 2-0, on Wednesday night behind the scoring of Megan Perrey and the stout defense of Alena Payne. Perrey scored twice in the first 11 minutes to give the Orange and Black an insurmountable lead. Payne made a career-high 13 saves in the win to improve her record to 2-3 on the year.

Head Coach Jim Lipocky: Now in his eight season as the head coach of the Warriors, Jim Lipocky has won 56 games, the second most in school history. He also holds the second-best winning percentage all-time at Tech. During the 2012 campaign, he led the Warriors to their most successful season since 2002, compiling a 16-4-1 record, the second most victories in school history. During his tenure with the Orange and Black, Lipocky has coached 37 WHAC All-Academic members, 27 NAIA Scholar-Athletes and 21 WHAC All-Conference honorees. In 2011 he was named the WHAC's Champion of Character Coach.

Scouting the Opposition: The Saints come into Saturday's match at 4-2-0, most recently losing to Graceland University on Tuesday to snap their three-game winning streak. Courtney Babut and Paloma Oliviera led Ashford with two goals apiece, while keeper Nyla Peterkin ranks 20th in the nation in saves (43) and 33rd in saves per game (7.17).

Series Notes: The Warriors are 1-1 against Ashford, most recently upsetting the #20 Saints last year in Fort Wayne over Homecoming Weekend, 2-0. Courtney Lakes and Morgan Kroezen each tallied a goal for the Orange and Black.

Standing Tall: Senior goalkeeper Alena Payne has taken ownership of the Warriors net, starting five of the six matches and logging over 466 minutes of game action. Payne's 38 saves rank second in the WHAC and she is tied for 29st nationally, while her 7.60 saves per game is second in the league and also tied for 29th in the country. Her 0.97 goals against average (GAA) ranks sixth in the conference and is tied for 43rd in the country.

Tough to Crack: Tech has only given up six goals through six matches this season, tied for third best in the WHAC, while their three shutouts place them in a tie for third in the conference and in a tie for 21st in the country.

Alternating Results: The Warriors have flip-flopped their record after every match this season, going loss-win-loss-win-loss-win. Tech had a similar six-game stretch last year where they alternated wins and losses.
